So, you want to start creating your own character card for PygmalionAI? Well have no fear fellow newcomer. With some assistance from the PygmalionAI community, we compiled this section as a guide to make your character card come to life for you to use and share across the community.
Writing a bot may be daunting at first, especially with how many different things can be included inside a bot from the format itself such as World Info and Author's Note, but do not worry. Each part of this guide here will have a section for you to take a look at to understand what everything does step-by-step.
This guide is a work-in-progress. Feel free to provide your feedback about the state of the guide to either .trappu, bronya_rand, or tav.
This section is being updated over time.
Huuuge thanks to AliCat for fact-checking what I wrote, helping me clarify some of the concepts I discussed in the guide, and most importantly, for teaching me everything I know about Ali:Chat. None of this would've been possible without the existence of Ali:Chat. Her guide, while a little old, still contains great insight into character writing and much more. Would highly recommend reading it.
Likewise, big thanks to AVAKSon and Tav for proofreading, giving suggestions, and catching silly spelling mistakes. AVAKSon's guide inspired me to take a "walkthrough" approach for the character writing guide so check out his guide to see his thought process while writing characters.
